In the end, while I enjoyed the story well enough, I had to decide how I was going to rate this one. He is the only survivor telling strange tales of mons In book 1 of the Atlantis series, Bob Mayor takes history, Sci-fi, mythology and rolls it into a very engaging read.

Since this is the first book in a series, the author seems to be saving the “good stuff” for future books. People and planes have perdidz into the areas and never come out and when a millionaire business man send a Hi-Tech survey plane with his daughter in command over the Cambodian triangle only to have it disappear as well things really heat up. At some point, Atlantis must figure into this triumvirate, but that’s not apparent in this, the first book, of dojegan series.

Although the idea of the story was interesting, the writing was rather bland. The first made me feel the same way.

Just a short stretch in beginning that didn’t grab me and that was military in the jungle, but that isn’t the focus, just some background. Lots of typos interrupted the flow of the book. I also like the characters which the author had created: I did finish the book, though, which says something about the concept.

I love the way that the writer ties together all of the major mysteries and paranormal events throughout perdda such as the Bermuda Triangle, Devil’s Gate, Crystal Skulls, Ley Lines, etc. After reading all six Atlantis books this is another Bob Mayer series that I loved. I highly recommend this novel to all those who love fast paced, well written Science Fiction.

They range from incorrect spelling to grammatical errors, oddball punctuation, repeated words and phrases – the whole gamut of things a beta reader would find, much less an actual editor. Now, aflantis only I had the next instalment!

Only one member of that team, Eric Dane, came back. Story kept building with suspense until almost the last page which showed that the author wished the reader to know that he is certainly not done this novel and there will be more to come.

And, again, these were errors that appeared on every page of the book, each one breaking the immersion and taking me out of the story while my brain worked out what he was trying to say instead of what he actually had on the page.

I was not looking to read Dostoyevsky or Chaucer, so the book did the trick.
