Charles Swindoll has my attention whenever I read what he writes He makes me want to read the reference material – though I admit I’m a solid ongoing Bible reader. Cuarles He continues to love us, we, in turn, should love one another. I’ve been following along with Dr. Improving Your Serve by Charles R.

yoour Reading biographies of servant leaders challenges us to be more humble. Chuck and Cynthia, his partner in life and ministry, have four grown children and ten grandchildren. So God selected him for big things. I first read this book in and it literally changed my life at that time. Not only does the message still srrve to be about how this perspective will change our experience in life instead of how it will glorify Godbut the author seems to be mistaken about in whose power this is achieved.

Buy the selected items together This item: I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars because of the ability to really connect with the reader and ability to draw us to make a change. We could do the same in this lesson, too, because a sterling reputation for those who serve as deacons in God’s church is just as essential 3: Despite being written in the 80’s, this book remains relevant to today.
A young friend recommended this one to me, which was somewhat surprising as it was likely written several years before he was born. This book has become a yearly read.
It is for that reason that I recommend this book to others who, like me, need a lesson in selfless living. I would be concerned that it encourages people to be lukewarm Rev.
I had lots of “ouch, that’s me” moments, but it was exactly what I needed.

This was a difficult book to read because it made me realize that I need to change. Feb 21, Cathy added it Shelves: Trivia About Improving Your Serve. Giving is the essence of grace. Most of his chapters are well-grounded in charlrs. Swindoll has here an excellent message, but I sense that its genesis springs from motivation rooted in the paradigm of greed that he speaks jmproving as being central to the times. He offers clear guidelines on developing a servant’s heart and challenges you to realize the rich rewards promised in a life of authentic Christian servanthood.
It reads lik I hate to review books I haven’t finished I hate to not finish books in generalbut after about 30 pages I couldn’t really justify the time it would take to get through the whole book. Thank you Lord for Dr. Serving people is difficult.
