The only criticism I would personally harbor is very slight. Just about every few sentences had a scripture reference which was great that it was peqcemaker biblical based, but I found it distracting and the book was taking me forever to get through.
A very helpful manual on dealing with interpersonal conflict. The remaining chapters were more tactical and relationship focused. All in all, this is a fantastic book, filled with useful biblical insights that are difficult to practice and master, but worthwhile to reflect on nonetheless and hopefully be able to apply. Sande’s years of experience as an attorney and as president of Peacemaker Ministries will strengthen readers’ confidence as they stand in the gap as peacemakers.
A Pastor’s Guide to Interpersonal Communication: I highly recomend this book for all Eande, especially pastors. All pastors and Christian leaders should read this book and help the body of Christ to affirm it’s principles. I purchased my first copy of The Peacemaker off a discount shelf. The part that took the most time was going back and looking up all of the referenced scriptures which I do not recommend skippingso this read takes longer than one expects. The very fact that forgiveness is needed and granted indicates that what someone did was wrong and inexcusable. This book was rough for the first few chapters. Solid common sense resolution. Pastors and church leadership will find it an excellent tool for teaching and fostering Christian maturity.

This took way too long to finish but finish I did! The author seems to go out of his way to make this book practical by detailing his own struggles to live at peace, and discusses somewhat cringeworthy and awkward examples of political struggles within congregational leadership and spouses taking back those who have done some pretty unpleasant things but who have shown a genuine change of heart.
