When I was in school I was a bookworm, but got away from it as I grew older. The dialog was very good because Nick was a good looking, hot, sexy womanizing man and Jamie was a little bit of an innocent fixer upper.

Nick gets the brilliant idea of parading Jamie around doing things on her list like attending candy conventions etc. He’s a jerk to everyone but more so to Jaime. Annnnnd I will stop myself there, before I start waxing lyrical about my reclusve of historical romance and fantasy as well; no one needs to know about hear elf fantasies.

We know Nick as a sexy, charmer who never fails with the ladies from Dana and Edward’s story. The main source of both the sexiness and mmathewson laughter comes from the relationship between Jamie and Nick, the interactions with each other ranged from sweet and tender to hilarious and it was a delight reading Jamie unknowingly wrap Nick around her little finger.
I loved his inner thoughts as he was just so certain he was not having any feelings for Jamie at all. At least proofread, obvious errors shouldn’t be in a book by an author with this extensive of a catalogue.
I have to admit that chicklit genre and me barely get along However, I have moved out of that New Adult stage of my life and am now strictly in the Contemporary Romance age zone of Despite all that, Jaime decided to change her life through recluisve career allowing her more social interaction.
She’s been put down in preference for her older sister all her life and been made to believe that she is ugly and worthless by her family.

Nick tries to convince himself he’ll have her out of his system by then and Jamie knows she’ll probably have a broken heart when things end but is willing to suffer it to be with Nick for as long as possible. But I just adore Mathewson’s stories. I like that she makes the books exciting and funny at the same time. Fortunately, I kept reading and Nick gets much better as the book progresses and by the end I really liked him and Jamie gets more of a backbone as well and I found I really liked her too.

Nick and Jaime were worlds apart and when Jaime took a chance on her career they found true love! He’s also a man-whore and has a rule to never sleep with a woman he works with and mathewsoj sleep with a woman twice. A great story with blush-worthy steamy scenes, which I totally enjoyed and couldn’t put down. This book is a hot mess.
