The assignment is due no later than Saturday, December 22, 2018 Module 1 Readings and Assignments The Nature and Tools of Research: https://digitalbookshelf.argosy.edu/#/books/9781323328798/cfi/6/16!/4/2/2/4/ :0 The Problem: The Heart of the Research Process: https://digitalbookshelf.argosy.edu/#/books/9781323328798/cfi/6/36!/4/2/2/4/ :0 Review of the Related Literature: https://digitalbookshelf.argosy.edu/#/books/9781323328798/cfi/6/58!/ :0 Planning Your Research Project: https://digitalbookshelf.argosy.edu/#/books/9781323328798/cfi/6/74!/ :0 Assignment 2: Formulating a Research Question Research investigators often encounter the following saying: “A problem that goes unnoticed or ignored is a problem without a resolution.” Discuss a problem from the field of forensic psychology that you would like to have resolved through investigative research methods. Use the following questions as guidelines for formulating the actual quantitative research question with respect to the problem that you identify: What is the specific problem? What is the evidence of the problem? What do you suspect is causing the problem? Is the research question clearly expressed without being too general or too narrow? Does the question relate to the identified problem? Is the research, based on the research question, feasible? Will the research, based on the research question, add to the body of knowledge in the forensic psychology field? After you submit your research question, read the responses of your classmates and critique the research question of at least two of them. To ensure each of your classmates receives feedback, first respond to those who have not received any from your peers. Use these same questions as critique criteria in your response to other classmates: Is the question clearly expressed without being too general or too narrow? Does the question relate to the identified problem? Are there any barriers to the research? Will the research, based on the research question, add to the content body of knowledge? Were these questions fully addressed? What is the specific problem you are encountering? What evidence do you have that there is a problem? What do you suspect is causing the problem? Post your response in a minimum of 300 words. All written assignments and responses should follow APA rules for attributing sources.
In your first response, critique one of your peers’ Part 1 scenarios. BELOW IS PART 1 SCENARIO: PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS POST BELOW CRITIQUING THE SCENARIO.. Data Analysts must have a keen sight for decision alternatives to optimize rules on expects profit payoffs. The upcoming holiday season has two toys that gained my attention as a business executive for ChoiceToys, conducting data analysis for expected profit payoff and associated probabilities. As the information is provided above, Toy 1 is new to the market, and it is believed that no competitor will be able to bring a similar toy to the market in time. Because of the no market competition, the company is not sure it will be a success or a bust. Toy 2 has been in the market long enough to have two competitors. With ChoiceToys joining the market, it will make three company’s competing in the holiday season. The profit payoff could either be highly successful, successful, and not successful. Being all in or not, we are only projecting either highly successful or not profitable. Before we continue the rabbit hole, as a business executive for ChoiceToys, it is crucial for us as a company to list what the definition of success is to us. Because the data that considerer success is missing, we would need to know so we can use it to see if it is achievable. Would it be the maximum profit? Would it be breaking even with the cost? Because we are a company, it is easy to assume that we are in the business to make money, and making money constitutes success. So, we would need to gauge how much needs to be produced and sold to be out of the red. Sarpe et al. (2019) state that determining costs and price is based on an expert’s probability. In the scenario, we only have three choices: highly successful, successful, and not successful. Based on this probability has a risk that is associated. The use of a decision tree would be found most beneficial. There are no data related to the supply or demand for the toys. Based on the data, we can create a payoff table that shows a 33.33% chance of achieving either choice. Toy 2 only wants to project either highly successful or not, increasing both the risk and the reward. The Expected Value for and standard deviation would reflect more uncertainty than compared to Toy 1. Toy 1 would have less risk and has more chance of measuring success through more choices. Unlike the all-or-nothing approach in Toy 2, the successful variable is included in the measurement in Toy 1. Based on the gain or loss approach, success can be measured as receiving profit, but not the maximum profit as highly successful would establish variable. Based on expected value, Sharpe et al. (2019) state minimax reflect the safest choice using minimal cost while trying to receive the maximum return. Toy 1 shows the more conservative approach towards recovery. In contrast, because the market offers two competitors are already in the field, and ChoiceToys is joining, the maximum return is in that market. I would recommend investing more in Toy 2 because of the already established market and the large pool of customers. Purchase the answer to view it

In this assignment, you will use web-based data and reports to document an example of surveys on American values. The paper must include a minimum of 5 references in APA format at the end of the paper (Note that any references in the references list should be cited in the body of the paper). Before writing your paper, access the web-site below: Findings presented by The Public Religion Research Institute represent a random sample of Americans who were respondents in the PRRI American Values Survey. Choose one of the major topics, click on “Read the Analyses,” and report findings presented in the PRRI website. Choose at least two of the major findings reported in the Analyses for that topic to discuss. (1) Write a 4-5 page double spaced paper that presents two major findings about your chosen topic with an explanation of their significance using 5 reliable and reputable sources (You may use some news outlets that present information in an unbiased way such as NPR or a research organization that does independent analysis, but avoid media outlets with an obvious partisan slant such as Fox News on the one hand, or MSNBC on the other; several of your sources should be from the class or from peer reviewed articles outside of class that you have identified using a library search). The details are up to you, but you should demonstrate a good understanding of how to situate the findings in relation to broader themes from literature in the course, or to do the additional research necessary while relying on reputable sources.. (2) Organize your paper using the general format of I Introduction II Body/Narrative III Summary/Conclusion. (3) In the Summary/Conclusion of your paper include a paragraph on the lessons you learned from class and external material, in particular, by addressing how your analysis explains at least in some way the relationship between American values and the respondents’ attitudes about social issues. (4) Use APA in-text citation formatting when referencing assigned material and include a list of sources in APA citation formatting at the end of the paper. (5) Edit and submit to spell-check.
Part A) Imagine you are a junior researcher at a world-renowned, high-tech laboratory. The senior scientist asks that you critique and replicate an experiment within the software-defined networking, mobile computing, or Internet of Things domain to demonstrate your research and technical prowess to the group. They have not specified which experiment to analyze; however, they stipulate that it must be found within a peer-reviewed publication within the last ten years and ask that you produce a short report presenting your critique and experience replicating the experiment. First, locate a research study that contains a reproducible experiment taking he time and resource constraints of the course into consideration. Second, analyze the original study and address the items described below: Ensure that your critique is comprehensive and meets the quality expectations of doctoral-level work. References: Included a minimum of five scholarly resources Length: 5-7 pages, not include the title and reference pages Part B) Very frequently, new research and ideas are presented in the form of posters. This serves as a way for the presenter to both convey their idea, but importantly receive feedback as well. Your next task for the week is to create a poster presenting your idea. Begin by reviewing this week’s resources on how to create a poster and be sure to follow the guidelines as discussed in these resources.
