Share an example of a significant change initiative that you were involved in at your current or former workplace. Post your initial response by Wednesday, midnight of your time zone, and reply to at least 2 of your classmates’ initial posts by Sunday, midnight of your time zone. 1st response The example of a significant change initiative that I will be using in this discussion occurred during my time at COMHAR. The “significant change initiative” involved all employees and the new Human Resources Software that the company had just purchased. My primary role and responsibility in the change initiative involved learning all I needed to learn about the new HR Software and then teaching what I learned to the COMHAR supervisors. I was an eager supporter of the change! As Lead Recruiter, I was extremely excited that the new HRS included an Applicant Tracking System that would make my recruiting job a lot easier. The following factors positively influenced my support for the change: The change initiative was successful, and we were able to measure our success through the Applicant Tracking System. s to the change initiative, the HR Department cut down the screening process time while still maintaining a suitable candidate pool. “Lack of candor basically blocks smart ideas, fast action, and good people contributing all the stuff they’ve got” (Welch, 1). The key factors in this change initiative that led to this positive outcome were trust and candor. Because we had already established a trustworthy relationship with our employees, they were more open to the change. They trusted our feedback, just like we trusted theirs. Sources: 2nd response Hi Class and Professor, Personally, as an individual, I can relate to some, but not all questions, but I can say in my recent job as a group was part of a change in how we serve our customers. The change was part of our PQFR or Premier Quality Food Service. This was implemented about 3 years ago and it basically shows our customers how important food safety, cleanliness, and handling of their groceries is to us. I think we all different feelings about it. I thought that we already doing that and this is just another thing we have to focus more attention on and it wasn’t necessary. I just feel that because there is so much expectation as a company that we try to outdo ourselves to stay on top of the competition. I was one of those employees that were passive about the change, like some others, because we wouldn’t just outright say how we felt about this change. We would just murmur among ourselves and leave it be. I think some were not sure what the initiative would do to the company, as the main idea, this when there needs to be “transparency” (Welch,1) on the vision of this change initiative. Overall, this initiative did work and still in effect today and it adds to our “Customer First” vision. The most important outcome is customers coming into a clean store and the quality of our products. 1. Welch. Winning. 2007.

Differentiation of instruction for students in the classroom involves assessment of student prerequisite skills and needs when selecting appropriate intervention strategies, accommodations, and modifications. In other words, we need to base our selection of supports and instructional strategies on the needs of the student and on whether or not the supports are EBP. These supports are developed alongside IEP goals to support student progress. Post an initial response that addresses the following areas using the discussion board forum: Watch (Koschmeder, 2012). Use these five questions posed by Marder and Fraser’s (n.d.) for assessing what is EBP. (Marder and Fraser, 2012) Consider whether the accomodation or modification strategies you identify would be classified by the Counci for Exceptional Children (CEC) as 1) EBP, 2) Potentially EBP, 3) Mixed evidence, 4) Insufficient evidence, or 5) Negative effects, and support your answer with details from the CEC report, Standards for EBP in Special Education (2014). Construct a list of three accommodations and/or modifications that might be ful for Huang’s IEP development to support the goals you have developed for him in Week Two. Create a description for how they meet the guidelines for standards of EBP you used. TExt Henley, M., Ramsey, R. S., & Algozzine, R. F. (2009). (6th ed.). Pearson.
Your initial discussion thread is due on Day 3 (Thursday) and you have until Day 7 (Monday) to respond to your classmates. Your grade will reflect both the quality of your initial post and the depth of your responses. Reference the for guidance on how your discussion will be evaluated. The human brain is highly dependent on experiences for development. Discuss your role as a teacher or caregiver in a child’s life in terms of promoting optimal brain development through exposure to various experiences. Give three examples of appropriate stimulation (activities) you can employ in the classroom or daycare center to promote learning. How can you include activities outside the classroom that will reinforce the learning? How can you involve the parents and community resources (i.e., fieldtrips)? Lastly, include information on a field trip you could take your class on in your local area that would extend the learning that you included in one of your sample activities. Relate experiences from your own schooling such as field trips, community events, and activities that connected your learning to both the community and your home. Analyze several of your classmates’ posts. Respond to at least two of your classmates, and suggest some ways that they can get parents involved in this learning process by extending their activities to the child’s home environment. Discuss resources in the community that they may have overlooked.
Discussion 1 How does institutional discrimination operate? What are examples of institutional discrimination from your workplace or other institutions with which you are involved? Include specific examples, from our text or life experience. Discussion 2 Pay equity is an issue with every group we have discussed over the past weeks. The State of Connecticut outlawed a question in interviews for employment that addresses previous pay. The idea of this ban refers to the fact that previous pay questions lead to less pay across the board for some minority groups, particularly women. If women (or any minority group member) starts at a low salary level because of discrimination in the past, the question about current salary will allow the new employer to pay the person less. Discrimination based on previous pay is a situation that is not strictly related to race, gender or ethnicity. In your states, Class, are there employment regulations that address this pay issue? DISCUSSION 3 100 words During the election season of 2016, there was much talk about foreigners taking American jobs. I heard an interview the other night during which an older retired man said that to a reporter. Yet, the facts don’t back that information up. Another recent survey also reported that many White Americans believe they are discriminated against. While I try to respect information like this, I found it so hard to believe. It was a legitimate poll, by the Roger Wood Johnson Foundation. Very few of the people interviewed for this survey said they had actually experienced discrimination (less than 20% of those interviewed). We see this, in social science, as dissonance – when people believe something even without any truth to it. 84% of these same people believed that minorities were discriminated against in America. What are your thoughts, Class, about this recent information? Discussion 4 100 words Migrant workers send much of the cash they earn back to their home countries. As you can see by the graph included in the link below, the numbers vary greatly. I thought I’d include a global view (which differs from the view of just the U.S.) for comparison purposes. What are the numbers like across the U.S., Class? Do they compare with the global view? For example, Mexico receives remittances that far outnumber some of the global numbers. Be sure to use legitimate sites when you post the response Iyengar, Ishi. “Migrant Workers”. CNN 6/15/2017. https://money.cnn.com/2017/06/15/news/economy/migrant-workers-global-remittances/index.html , Accessed 1/8/2019. RESPOND TO Each STUDENT POSTS BELOW IN A 100 words Catherine post I have come across a type of discrimination at work that doesn’t deal with race, gender or ethic background but deals with the type of education one has. Many of my patients refuse to see a nurse practitioner because they believe they don’t do an equal job as a doctor. Nurse practitioners are allowed to do what doctors do which is access the patient, prescribe medication and testing. However, patients discriminate against the type of credentials a person has. Catherine post I have lived most of life in New York and in every application that I’ve ever filled out the salary question was always there. There are actually 3 questions they ask. In your previous employment what was your start salary, what was your salary when you left the place of employment and what salary are you looking to make. I presently live in Connecticut and I did not see those questions when I applied. Instead, salary is based on experience and equity. Kayla post Institutional discrimination operates by discriminating someone because of their race, ethnic group, or gender. Some examples of institutional discrimination from my workplace would be not including someone to join a group , or go out to eat because their race is different. I personally have not seen a lot of discrimination in my workplace, because I tend to come to work, and do my job, and get along with almost everyone. I have heard stories of people that have experienced it though, or maybe they felt that they were being discriminated because of their gender, sex, or ethnic group.

Are these factors in agreement with what psychologists find to be common in centenarians? Support your reasoning with information from the text and other course materials. Socioemotional Selectivity Theory Psychologists claim that those in late adulthood are more selective about the company they keep because they are less willing to invest in relationships with emotional risk and they place a higher value on emotional satisfaction. Do you feel this a valuable way to approach social relationships? Why or why not? Could this approach be useful in other periods of development? If so, how? Apply principles of finance and accounting to healthcare outcomes, reimbursements, and business operations. After an evaluation of its current financial status and an assessment of future industry trends, the governing board for Metropolitan Memorial has approved its CEO’s request to expand operations into the rural areas of the state. Many of the rural residents rely upon Medicare and Medicaid for the financing of their healthcare needs. The hospital will offer satellite services including primary care, urgent care, telehealth, and emergent care services. The hospital is embracing the concept of value-based care given the economic make-up of the population within the rural community. Value-based care focuses on advancing the triple aim strategy of providing better care for individuals, improving population health management initiatives, and reducing overall health costs. The CEO has asked you to create a PowerPoint presentation (using speaker notes for each slide or voiceover narration) outlining the revenue cycle management process. Your presentation should include a discussion on value-based care models as introduced by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), such as ACOs and the Medicare Shared Savings Program. In addition, based on the research you’ve done, you will need to include a recommendation for a possible strategy to strengthen the organization’s financial operations in preparation for the transition to value-based care.

PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED WORD DOCUMENT AND JUST COMPLETE THE MEMO I HAVE ALREADY STARTED WITH THE OUTLINE PROVIDED” On your first day as an Information Systems Security director, you met with the Chief Information Officer. During the meeting, he revealed to you his deep concerns about the Infrastructure Protection Plan. He asked you to read the Department of Homeland Security. (2009). National Infrastructure Protection Plan. Retrieved from http://www.dhs.gov/xlibrary/assets/NIPP_Plan.pdf carefully and focus more on chapter 6: Ensuring an Effective, Efficient Program Over the Long Term. Since he realizes that you are new to this position he asked you to deliver the final plan, memo and budget in 7 weeks (week 8) but he setup 3 checkpoints for you to deliver parts of the plan to ensure consistent progress of the deliverables before the big presentation in week 8. In this phase, you need to create 3-5 page professional memo about your assessment of what needs to be done to meet the standards based on the National Infrastructure Protection Plan. You need to make sure that the language in the memo is clear of free of errors. You also need to be creative in presenting this information to capture the most important points from the National Infrastructure Protection Plan. You need to demonstrate critical thinking to prioritize the action items based on your findings. Purchase the answer to view it Purchase the answer to view it
