No puedo decir que sea el mejor libro que he leido, pero es inevitable reflexionar con ciertas cosas y pienso que eso es bueno, por tanto cualquier libro que te haga pensar debo recomendarlo y este lo hago moderadamente. It took me by surprise and i totally loved it. Yet, it can have therapeutic value in that it creates a space to allow the readers to reflect on their own emotional world. To view it, click here.
The book consists of a good 50 chapters, each one containing a story. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. Bucay has written a number of books in Spanish, but unfortunately most of them are yet to be translated into English. While following Demian’s story of personal development and self-discovery I almost felt as if Jorge was also my therapist.
Liked the book, Bucay really did some great job putting all these stories in one book in the form of dialogue between therapist and boy named Demian who has typical problems almost all people deal with.

My all time favorite book, after Crime and Punishment from Dostoyevsky. Thanks for telling us about the problem. All of the stories were very interesting and taught me something new or gave me a new perspective on certain topics. This is not your typical self-help book, so I would definitely recommend it to anyone! Books by Jorge Bucay. It’s an easy, special little book that is quite cwnte. Return to Book Page.
His personality lacks depth and it’s just hard to dejamme. In the course of his life, he has worked as a traveling salesman selling socks, books and sports clothing, as well as an insurance agent, taxi driver, clown, warehouseman, educator, actor, doctor on duty, host of children’s parties, psychiatrist, group coordinator, ddjame collaborator, and television host.

My all time favorite book, after Crime and Punishment from Dostoyevsky. View all 3 comments. This book was painful to read. Lists with This Book. I advise you to read it slowly, savoring it like a fine wine and leaving the moral hidden in each chapter resonates through your head like an echo throughout the day, this will make you reflect more deeply into every psychological tip that Bucay tries to teach us.

The book is about his sessions with his therapist Jorge who tells him little stories that are both bucsy and salutary. It’s a must reread, but first it goes to my dad becouse he is very like Jorge in the book. Nov 12, Sabina rated it it was amazing. Jorge Bucay is an Argentinian gestalt psychotherapist, psychodramatist, and writer. I don’t usually choose to read or like reading that genre of books but I fell in love with this one.
